The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine (re Liquidation of the Institute of People's Assessors in the Criminal Proceedings)

The bill (Reg. No.7154) amends the Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine, liquidating the institute of people's assessors in the criminal proceedings. The cases with the participation of people's assessors shall be transferred into the authority of a court consisting of three professional judges.

The bill presents a new version of clause 17.
